After earning his PhD from Sapienza University of Rome, Alexandros Hatzikiriakos held positions as a research associate and adjunct professor at the University of Verona until 2023. In 2020, he was Francesco Dombrowski Fellow at I Tatti - The Harvard University Center for Italian Renaissance Studies in Florence. He joined the School of History at St Andrews in 2024, to work on the AHRC project Italian Renaissance Objects and Spaces of Encounters (PI: Prof Mary Laven, Cambridge; CI: Prof Emily Michelson, St Andrews).
